What do you want others to know about lupus?

That my story unlike others is that I was fortunate enough to have a rheumatologist that saw the signs that I exhibited and immediately referred me to my very competent staff of doctors now taking care of me. And if at first the doctors are not able to give you an answer to what is going on, seek a second, third or even a fourth opinion.

Why is lupus a cruel mystery to you?

There was a time when I would go, and go, and go. After being diagnosed I had to pay attention to what my body was able to do within a small window of time, and make that adjustment. I don't wear myself out anymore or at least not as often as I used to.
