What do you want others to know about lupus?

That it affects each of us completley different, and the years it takes to get properly diagnosed needs to change. It took me 5 years and several doctors to figure this out. This Can't happen anymore!

Why is lupus a cruel mystery to you?

Lupus has taken away some of the things I loved to do most, like tae kwan do and my joy of just getting up and going whenever I felt like it. What it mostly took was time away from my kids, because I was too tired or in pain... The fatigue and Pain yada yada yada do not allow that freedom anymore. But it hasn't just taken, It has given me friends I would otherwise have never met if it wasn't for lupus. I always look at the positive in life and will not allow this to keep me down long. I have made up a quote that I say everyday when I wake up and when I am having a particularly rough day ~ " I will not fail because I have lupus, I will succeed in spite of it!"
