What do you want others to know about lupus?

Lupus is a very challenging disease to diagnose. At least it was for me. Since the symptoms were ever changing, I was thought to be a hypochondriac. I knew though that there was something more going on. I told the psychiatrist, "I am NOT imagining this!". It started at age 16 & took 11 yrs and lots of Dr's until I heard, "You have Lupus".

Why is lupus a cruel mystery to you?

Lupus has impacted EVERY area of my life. It has been a roller coaster ride of ups & downs. I strive for the best quality of life I can achieve each day. It has made me strong in character, though it zaps my physical strength. "The joy of The LORD IS my strength." It is so very frustrating that people really don't understand. I'm thankful that I can now communicate via the internet with other fellow sufferer's who truly can understand how it feels to deal with the daily challenges of SLE. I'm not alone anymore! I have met SO MANY WONDERFUL people whom I now consider true friends!
