What do you want others to know about lupus?

That Lupus is more common than people think. People need to be aware and be tested. It can affect anyone. It doesn't discriminate, young or old, man or woman or child. It needs to be treated.

Why is lupus a cruel mystery to you?

It has turned my life upside down when my only son was diagnosed at 21. He is now 25 and battling kidney disease, anemia and some other things, but he's a trooper and rarely gets down. My son's name is Leo and he is my Hero.
